(Playwright) is a Brooklyn-based writer/performer who crafts narratives about queer identity, found-family structures and people in general who try very hard. She has previously collaborated with Crashbox Theater in their Read. Play. Write. program and is currently working with the pilot group of their Write. Play. Launch. program on a new play about online harassment and the rise of the Alt-Right. She is a frequent contributor to Undiscovered Countries’ Infinite Festival, an audiobook narrator and voiceover artist, and aspiring Renaissance Lady.
(Director) is a transsexual theater director, designer, and musician. She is a founding member of Brooklyn arts incubator Undiscovered Countries, and has developed, directed, and designed award-winning performances in New York City, Maine, and Chicago. Most recently, Caroline’s productions Asher Rhys Got Married Too Young (best director, best solo piece) and MARY- SHELLEYSHOW (greatest draw) played at The Tank, after performances in the Fresh Fruit Festival and Chicago Fringe respectively.
(Costume Design) is a costume designer and wardrobe person who also performs from time to time. He has worked with costumes for Third Rail Projects (Then She Fell, The Grand Paradise, Behind the City) for the past five years, both designing and maintaining costumes, as well as occasionally stage managing. He has also worked wardrobe on several Broadway shows and at Ars Nova. TJ is excited to work with Crashbox as a designer after helping them read new play submissions (including Tinker Rising!) for the past few years.

(Fight Choreography) is an award winning writer and trans rights activist. Her work has been performed in NYC at Dixon Place, MITF, the Brick, and Joe’s Pub and others. Her short play “Becky’s Christmas Wish,” was a finalist for the City Theatre National Short Play Award, in Miami, and she has had work produced in Wisconsin, Cincinatti, New Jersey, Detroit, and Minneapolis. Ashley was featured on Fusion TV’s Peabody Award Nominated Sex.Right.Now, has appeared on multiple panels for Revry.TV Written articles for Cosmopolitan, The Mary Sue, is the creator/Producer of the Is It Transphobic Podcast.
(Casey Remington/Robot) As a genre and supervillian enthusiast, Sylas Barrett is delighted to be a part of Tinker Rising. In addition to readings around the city, he has recently appeared as Kyle Oren in SCOWL: Fight For Your Rights (the Brick) and as Buddy in A Death Well Died (Future Proof). He also writes for Tor.com and is a regular contributor on the Is It Transphobic Podcast.
(The Antlion) is a Brooklyn-based actor, improviser, and homesick Tex-pat. A graduate from Austin College, his recent credits include a touring production of The Stand-In, A Doll’s House, En Passant, and Taylor Mac’s A 24-Hour History of Popular Music. He is an ensemble member of Act One Scene Two, an improvised play that will be performing in this very same theatre at 7pm tonight – if you enjoyed his work, consider sticking around! (April/The Fist) is so thrilled to be living out her childhood superhero dreams with this phenomenal group of people. Alex grew up an athlete and she is therefore drawn to work that emphasizes collaboration, and she loves working with playwrights and directors to create new stories and characters. Some recent credits include Trice, a space mercenary, in Over & Out with the Navigators, and Lily, a woman trapped in a zombie-infested subway station, in Park Place at the Secret Theatre. (Stevie/Stephanie Crasden/Robot) is particularly thrilled to be making her Crashbox Theatre debut, as they both trace their New York theatre origins to the Atlantic Acting Conservatory! New York credits include; Living Altar (Maria, Kaimera Productions), It’s Chill (Lizzy, Flashbulb), It’s a Wonderful Life (Laurie Beechman Theatre). Other favourite credits; Pride and Prejudice (Elizabeth Bennet, OLT), Dangerous Liaisons (Cecile de Volange, OLT) and devising work featured at various theatre festivals around Canada including, Magnetic North, Summerworks, and Ottawa Fringe. (Martha) is Crashbox Theater’s Artistic Director, an actor and a proud storytelling addict. A graduate of Atlantic Acting School Conservatory, she has performed and produced work for both theater and independent film in NYC and the midwest. Stage credits include Fool For Love (Theater On Consignment, Mac Welch), How to Fly (Fresh Ground Pepper NYC,Jordan Schulze), The Hurtling Stillness (The WhiteListed, Teodor Petelov), and The Liddy Plays (Crashbox, Sharone Halevy). Film credits include The Gift (Yantra Films, Svet Doytchinov), Gracie Rose (Films on Consignment, Jason Bailey) and the web series Lost & Found NY (Bookva and Art Vanguard, Vanina Kondova and Kalin Ivanov). She is beyond thrilled to be apart of developing this incredible play and wants to give a heartfelt thanks to her Crashbox family, Hollis, Caroline, and the passionate team of artists who have given their time and incredible talents to this process.
(Victoria/The Tinker) is an NYC-based actress, writer, and multi-disciplinary badass babe. Theatre credits include ‘Fixing Mother’s Day’ (The Signature Theater), ‘All in the Timing’ (Marjorie S. Dean Little Theater), ‘Mauritius’ (The Artists Sandbox), and ‘The Motherfucker with the Hat’ (The Secret Theater.) Selected film credits include: Streamy Award-nominated web series “Disposable Teens,” “IN REALITY” (L.A. Film Fest), and her screenwriting debut, “BROKE.” Her literary essays, personal essays, and poetry can be found published in FROTH Magazine, Strong Young Thing Magazine, and Issues 1-3 of Susie Magazine. She’s incredibly grateful to be a part of TINKER RISING’s journey!
