Chosen through open submission, five NYC playwrights participate in a month-long process, collaborating with directors, actors and the Crashbox team to develop a new, never-before-produced play.  The process includes a living room reading, time for rewrites, and a rehearsal process with a full team of actors and a director, and culminates in a public reading of each play, aimed at exposing these exciting new voices to our community and audiences.  RPW has fostered the development of 24 new plays and the collaboration of over 180 theater artists since it began in 2012.
